Walking near Castlehill above Laggan Bay, Isle of Islay

The Whitchampion at Bruichladdich pier, Isle of Islay

Picture of a small oil tanker moored at a pierMost of the oil used on Islay is delivered by tanker to Bruichladdich, where it is pumped into the large Gleaner tanks before being distributed on the island. Here the Whitchampion is tied up at Bruichladdich pier discharging its load.
