Admittedly not a view you get from the road, I took this panorama during a walk up Beinn an Lochain on a chilly December day. But the road you can spot will be familiar to many Islay travellers, it’s the A83 climbing up Glen Croe on the right, passing Rest and Be Thankful in the centre before descending into Glen Kinglas on the left, driving past Loch Restil. Beinn Luibhean (857m) in front of us, to the right is The Cobbler (Ben Arthur, 884m). Just peaking over the ridge between them I believe is Beinn Narnain (926m).
