Port Wemyss and King Street in Portnahaven seen from Four Winds, Isle of Islay

A view from Four Winds on a beautiful June evening on the Rhinns of Islay. Opposite the houses along King Street in Portnahaven, Crown Street behind it. Behind it in the distance is Port Wemyss, Crom Street to the right and An Cnoc stretching out into the distance in the centre, the houses along Shore Street and Bayview Street to the right. The North Channel behind, unfortunately not clear enough to see Ireland.

Entrance to (and exit from) the Currie Sands, Isle of Islay

Dogs are welcome at the Currie Sands beach on the Rhinns of Islay. The gate has seen better days and needs a bit of care when opening, but that’s also part of it’s charm. Picture taken on an overcast day in June 2024.
