A panoramic view over Port Ellen from the MV Finlaggan with boarding almost completed, just the Islay Crabs lorry still to be loaded. Taken on a stormy November 2024 morning.

A nice view of McArthur’s Head lighthouse from an Islay ferry travelling to Port Askaig, helped by the tele lens bringing it much closer. I quite like the good view of the stairs leading from the lighthouse to the pier at the shore, unfortunately I can’t remember how many steps there are (I’ve climbed it once or twice, not sure)

A June evening at the southern end of the Rhinns of Islay, looking towards Portnahaven in the distance from the back road (Kilchiaran Road) on the western side of the Rhinns near Cladville (the farm is just out of view to the right). If you look closely you can just make out the Rhinns of Islay lighthouse on Orsay in the distance.
