Lock on the Crinan Canal at Ardrishaig (Journey to Islay)

A very nice stop on the journey to Islay is the Crinan Canal. Here we are overlooking a lock at the Loch Fyne end of the canal in Ardrishaig. In the far distance you can just make out the Isle of Arran.
Fast Rescue Craft exercise on the Islay ferry MV Hebridean Isles

I’ve only seen it once but I believe it is a regular practice. This is the Fast Rescue Craft being lifted up after an exercise in West Loch Tarbert by the Islay ferry MV Hebridean Isles.
Update/correction: Originally I had described the boat as a tender, the correct term is Fast Rescue Craft. Thanks to Jim MacLean for the correction.
