A beautiful view east from the summit Beinn a’ Chaolais over the other two Paps of Jura (Beinn an Oir on the left, Beinn Shiantaidh on the right) and Gleann an t-Siob with Loch an t-Siob. Taken during a visit with an Islay walking week.

A beautiful June evening on the east coast of Jura, on the top of Ardfernal Hill (85m) looking west. The Bay of Small Isles with Craighouse in the distance on the left. Towards the right the Paps of Jura with the sun setting behind Beinn an Oir and Beinn Shiantaidh, the two highest Paps. Not visible the thousands and thousands of midges attacking me while taking the pictures for the panorama…
A view of Craighouse, the main settlement on Jura, from Ardfernal Hill on a beautiful calm June evening in 2019. Unfortunately it also meant the midges were out in force, meaning I couldn’t enjoy this view for very long.
