A view from Swan’s Pool, looking over the sea to the Oa with the Singing Sands at the bottom. You can also just spot Carraig Fhada lighthouse on the right edge of the picture.

A view from the only ferry that left Islay during a stormy November weekend with storm Bert. Looking back at Carraig Fhada lighthouse with the cottages next to (and above) it. Waves breaking over the rocks around the lighthouse.

A view from an Islay ferry to the mainland on a stormy November weekend during a short calmer weather window. During that window it wasn’t as wild as I had seen it at other times, but there were still quite a few people out watching the ferry leave in the choppy seas.
