Deer on the north coast of Islay

Two deer on a raised beach along a shoreIn most cases the view is the other way around, the deer watching the humans from the safety of the hills. Here I was able to watch these two from the hills looking down on to the raised beaches along the north coast of Islay.

Deer watching the Islay Malt Pillage

Picture of 5 Deer on a shore, two boats passing in the distanceA picture from one of the Islay Malt Pillages a number of years ago, taken near Claggain Bay on the south coast of Islay. The malt pillage is passing in the distance, on their way either to Jura or to the Sound of Islay (unfortunately I can’t remember exactly). A small group of deer is standing close to the shore, watching both me and the boats.
