A brilliant June afternoon on Islay’s neighbour Gigha, looking north east from just below Eilean Garbh over Bàgh na Dòirlinne, one of the Twin Beaches.

I think I took this picture from Creag Bhàn, the highest hill on Gigha. The view is across the Sound of Jura to the Paps of Jura with the Islay ferry MV Isle of Arran en route from Port Askaig to Kennacraig on the mainland. How tiny the ferry looks below the towering mountains.
