The Singing Sands on a Sunny Day, Isle of Islay

One of Islay’s slightly lesser known (as it is not visible from a public road) yet very popular beaches. These are the singing Sands near Kilnaughton, reached via a short track past the Port Ellen lighthouse. Ireland is just visible in the distance.

A view from Islay across the North Channel towards Ireland. If memory serves me right this was from somewhere on The Oa. I believe the island in front is probably Rathlin Island, behind it would be Ballycastle in Northern Ireland.
