As of writing this unfortunately the only way to see the famous and beautiful Kilchoman Cross, from the road behind it. As the ruin of Kilchoman church has become unsafe the council had to close the cemetery around it, with it blocking direct access to the cross.
One of my early attempts to capture the night sky over Islay. Quality isn’t great, but in a way I still like it. Plenty of stars above the ruin of Kilchoman church, the bright spot just to the right of centre isn’t the Moon, but a bright star, I’m guessing Venus?
