A nice view from the Islay ferry on a beautiful sunny day. McArthur’s Head with the lighthouse in the foreground, Beinn Bheigier (491m, summit on the right) in the background.
Returning from a walk in the north of Islay a group of walkers is approaching Bunnahabhain. The Sound of Islay with the wreck of the Wyre Majestic and McArthur’s Head in the distance on the left.
A view up to McArthur’s Head lighthouse from the shore below. On the left the old pier which used to be used to provide supplies when the lighthouse was still manned. The only way to reach the lighthouse is either by boat or a long walk across rough country.
