A view across the northern end of the Sound of Islay from the Isle of Jura. Jura in the foreground, I’m not sure if the small light has a name. On the other side of the sound is the northern tip of Islay with Rhuvaal lighthouse. In the distance Colonsay can be seen. Two ships in the sound, a coaster going north, a fishing boat travelling south.
A view up to McArthur’s Head lighthouse from the shore below. On the left the old pier which used to be used to provide supplies when the lighthouse was still manned. The only way to reach the lighthouse is either by boat or a long walk across rough country.
A view to Orsay with the Rhinns of Islay lighthouse from the Port Wemyss coastal path. While not long the path offers some wonderful view both to Orsay and the area surrounding Port Wemyss.
