At the southern end of the Big Strand in Laggan Bay, Kintra to the left, the Oa towards the right. Taken from the start of a walk to the northern end (5.5 miles, 11 miles return) on a quite changeable June 2025 morning.

We had driven out to Sanaigmore, hoping for a nice sunset just before the summer solstice. Unfortunately the sunset turned out to be lacking due to some pesky clouds on the horizon. Arriving back at my car we got talking with a couple who were wild camping. While we were chatting my sister Imke noticed these nice clouds in the late gloaming and took this picture, a reminder to never give up hope for a nice picture.
